Here is my Risk Management Professional credential from the American PMI (Project Management Institute), this credential was the second goal of this year, after the PMP Credential, these achievements are a complete planned cycle I started preparing for a long time ago, Risk management is an important practice in each project even each step of your life, it is surely can save your time, money and efforts once you implement properly without biases, I use the principals and tools of risk management on each project I involve in as much as possible, the benefits honestly are end-less, so being professionally certified, with an "Above Target" score, besides being qualified as a risk professional, is an important milestone of my career path, surely the impact of best practices in risk management will be on board for all of my future endeavors.
Briefly, The main topics covered recently in my study plan based on the five domains (Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, as well as, Monitor and Close Risk), are as follows:
1- Risk Strategy and Planning:
. You will know "How" the Risk Management Process will be executed.
. You will know the critical success factors such as Stakeholder acceptance, Alignment with constraints and Priorities, measuring and balancing between important factors like Cost, benefits, and efforts, etc.
. You will know "What" to use as Inputs from the Project Management Plan, besides Tools & Techniques, to get the Risk Management Plan as Output.
2- Risk Identification:
. You will conduct Risk Identification Exercises to know "Which" Risks may affect your Project.
. You will Examine Assumption and Constraint Analyses and where the Risk comes from.
. Understanding the Risk Triggers and Thresholds to develop the output of this domain "Risk Register" accordingly.
3- Risk Analysis:
. Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis, to reduce the level of uncertainty and focus on High-Priority Risks.
. Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis, It is a numerical analysis that will outline the overall effect of Risks on Project objectives and will clarify the contingency reserve for the decision-makers.
. You will be able after that to Identify Threats and Opportunities, to update your Risk Register and documents as the stage output.
4- Risk Response:
. Plan for Risk Response, by defining people's roles and responsibilities, stage planning, and analysis.
. Implement Risk Response using strategies for negative and positive Risks.
5- Monitor and Close Risks:
. Gather and Analyse Performance Data
. Monitor Residual and Secondary Risks
. Monitor Project Risk Levels
. Update Relevant Project Documents
